Russia's security council secretary has lashed out at NATO's Steadfast Defender Exercise 2024. Nikolai Patrushev, an ally of President Vladimir Putin, accused the U.S.-led bloc of rehearsing for an armed confrontation with Russia. He added that the military exercise was destabilising and was increasing tensions in the region.
