The mysterious Iran earthquake that’s got everyone talking: weapons test gone wrong amid US attacks?

An earthquake has struck Iran and it's raising fresh questions. A 5.0-magnitude earthquake rocked the mountainous Saland region of Dezful in Iran's Khuzestan Province early Sunday morning, sending tremors across the area and prompting an immediate emergency response. The earthquake comes as Iran and the United States exchange fresh threats, with the IRGC warning of retaliation over alleged U.S. attacks on Iranian infrastructure. Tehran has also threatened to target U.S.-linked AI, technology, and industrial assets across the Gulf, while claiming new strikes under Operation Nasr 2. These military claims have not been independently verified.
