Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei delivered a pointed warning over control of the Strait of Hormuz, saying “no one should be allowed” to dominate the vital route, just hours before tensions with Iran spiked. The United Arab Emirates official also defended Abu Dhabi’s stance on OPEC, insisting the UAE “left on good terms” while pledging to remain a reliable energy producer. As geopolitical strains rise and threats to oil flows grow, the remarks underscore mounting anxiety over energy security and freedom of navigation in the Gulf.
