U.S. allies reel from Iran’s Gulf strikes as Starmer resists Trump’s war line

Iran has unleashed a fresh wave of missile and drone attacks across the Gulf, with explosions reported in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi and interceptions by UAE air defences. Strikes were also reported near energy facilities in Bahrain and around U.S. military sites in Iraq’s Erbil, signalling a widening regional escalation.
