Watch: Afghan Sikh MP in tears after reaching India on IAF plane

A Sikh Afghan MP who was evacuated by India from Kabul broke down after landing at Indian Air Force base in Ghaziabad. The MP, while narrating his ordeal, said terrorism is at peak in Afghanistan and that Hindus and Sikhs are facing persecution at the hands of Islamist extremists. A fresh batch of 168 evacuees landed at IAF Hindon base in Ghaziabad today. The evacuees include 107 Indian citizens while the rest are foreign nationals including Afghan Sikhs. Emotional scenes were witnessed at the IAF base as Afghan residents thanked India for evacuating them safely from Taliban-held Afghanistan.
