A Filipino fisherman in western Palawan island has found possibly the world's biggest pearl. He had hidden the object under a bed for more than 10 years as a lucky charm. The man gave the 34-kilogramme pearl that's 2.2 feet (67 centimetres) long and 1 foot (30 centimetres) wide last month to the city's tourism officer for safekeeping because he was moving to a new location. Currently the Guinness World Records lists a 718.50 carat baroque abalone pearl as the biggest of its kind, measuring 14 centimeters in length, 8 centimeters wide and 4 centimeters thick.
