Pakistan reacts as India assumed the presidency of the United Nations Security Council. Pakistan said it hopes that India will abide by relevant rules and norms. “We hope that India will abide by the relevant rules and norms governing the conduct of the Security Council Presidency,” Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesperson said. Pakistan’s envoy to the UN Munir Akram reportedly said Islamabad will be “watchful but not concerned.” India began its one-month presidency of the UN Security Council on Monday.
