Watch | Bizarre race turns boring office chair to a hot seat

Hundreds of people gathered to watch an office chair race in Taiwan. Participants sitting precariously on everyday office chairs scoot backwards towards the finish line on a hot summer day. Most heats featured two participants at a time, as well as relay races, to see whose legs were more adept at navigating an office chair through the streets of Tainan. Participants competed in both preliminary and championship races. The event originated in Japan seven years ago but this is the first time it's been held overseas.
