With Ted Cruz and John Kasich dropping out of the Republican presidential contest, Donald Trump has a clear path to his party's nomination. With no opponents left in the race, Trump becomes the Republican Party's presumptive presidential nominee to take on the Democratic nominee in November — presumably Hillary Clinton. The New York tabloid newspapers had fun with the news: The New York Daily news showed the GOP's trademark elephant lying in a coffin. The New York Post showed a picture of Trump with the headline “Can you believe it? The Nominee.”New Yorkers walking near Trump's SoHo building in Manhattan had mixed reactions to his political success
