Yemeni Forces Seize Strategic Bab El-Mandeb Positions From Houthis In Major Offensive

Yemeni government forces say they have seized strategic positions near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait from Iran-aligned Houthi fighters in a major offensive along Yemen’s western coast. The advance includes territory around the key maritime chokepoint and comes as fighting intensifies between government forces and the Houthis. The developments could have major implications for Red Sea security and global shipping, given the strategic importance of Bab el-Mandeb. The Houthis have also claimed attacks against targets in Saudi Arabia as the fighting escalates across multiple fronts. INTERNATIONAL NEWS
