The renowned Hong Kong star, Jackie Chan, has just begun to shoot for, Kung Fu Yoga, the first ever India-China project under the co-production agreement, signed in September 2014.
The shoot began in Dubai on September 28.
In a very brief meeting at the just-ended Silk Road International Film Festival in China’s Fuzhou, Chan told this writer that he was looking forward to act in this movie. He was rushing off to Dubai immediately after the festival’s closing ceremony -- where he sang a beautiful song.
He said he would be visiting India for a later schedule of the shoot.
Directed by Stanley Tong, Kung Fu Yoga is produced by Beijing Taihe Entertainment and Mumbai-based Viacom18 Motion Pictures.
The film will also mark the first-ever occasion when the widely-travelled Chan is shooting in the Middle East. And Chan will remain in Dubai for 33 days, and the movie will include several car chases and other forms of exciting action sequences.
