Imran Khan may have resisted the no confidence motion on Sunday but that has just given more ammunition to the opposition to attack him as they await the Supreme Court to hear their objection to the rejection of the trust vote in the Pakistan National Assembly. As Khan called for fresh elections in three months, the opposition leaders said the move to escape the trust vote was undemocratic. After the National Assembly was dismissed, a united opposition held a session hours after his address in a show of strength.
In a series of tweets amid the criticism, Imran Khan raised questions over the reaction of the rivals. "Astonished by reaction of PDM to our calling for general elections. They have been crying hoarse abt how our govt has failed & lost support of the ppl so why the fear of elections now? Democrats go to the ppl for support, (sic)," Khan said in a tweet.
"Isn't it better for PDM to accept elections rather than being part of a foreign conspiracy for regime change; and indulging in blatant purchasing of loyalties thereby destroying our nation's moral fibre?" he added.
To this Pakistan Peoples Party's Bilawal Bhutto came up with a prompt comeback: "The Foreign conspiracy was NCM, electoral reforms & early elections??? Then why did you implement this supposed conspiracy by unconstitutionally trying to dissolve parliament and call early elections! (sic)."

{{/usCountry}}Bhutto had earlier in the day said the opposition leaders were going to the Supreme Court against Imran Khan. He had also put out various tweets by opposition leaders.
"197 members vote in favour of the no confidence resolution against the Prime Minister. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq chaired the sitting and gave ruling according to the constitution and rules. Imran Khan couldn’t face defeat so he decided to put everything at stake! (sic)," a tweet by PNA member Shazia Atta Marri read.
Bhutto has urged the Supreme Court to rise up to the occasion. "We cannot under any circumstances compromise on the constitution. SC must rise to the challenge & prove our constitution is more than a piece of paper. If we can’t implement the constitution on the floor of the NA we can’t dream of constitutional supremacy anywhere else. (sic)." he tweeted.
The Supreme Court will decide on Monday if Pakistan will see fresh elections or another no trust vote.
