Tornado sirens rang out in Cincinnati and other parts of Hamilton County on Monday as a tornado-warned storm moved through the area. Simultaneously, the NWS also issued a flash flood warning for Cincinnati.
Parts of Boone County, Kentucky, bordering Cincinnati were also placed under a warning. The CVG airport, located in Boone County, Kentucky, was placed under a shelter-in-place as a dangerous, tornado-warned storm moved through the area.
Local NBC affiliate WLWT shared photos of stranded passengers at the airport amid the storms. Though in Kentucky, the airport serves as the primary airport for Cincinnati.
Moreover, the storm is being accompanied by heavy rainfall. Drivers from Cincinnati reported extremely low visibility across the city on Tuesday afternoon amid the rain.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for parts of the Cincinnati, Ohio, area, including Cheviot, North College Hill, Norwood, Golf Manor and surrounding communities, with the warning valid until 3:45 p.m. EDT Tuesday.

Videos showed the severe weather in the city on Tuesday afternoon. Below is a video shared by Mike Dardis of WLWT on X showing sirens ringing out in the city as the storm moved in.
Here's another video shared by resident Kerry J. Zieger showing the thunderstorm, lightening and rain the suburbs of Cincinnati witnessed through Tuesday afternoon. The video was recorded outdoor and captures the weather in the city accurately.
But even as the weather conditions worsened this afternoon, the city has been experiencing severe rainfall throughout the day as the storm earlier moved through parts of Illinois and Indiana. A driver from Cincinnati shared visuals earlier on Tuesday that showing low visibility amid the torrential rains.

The NWS in Wilmington, Ohio, issued a flash flood warning for parts of the Cincinnati metro area and northern Kentucky, including Cincinnati, Cheviot, Norwood, Reading, Sharonville, Terrace Park and surrounding communities. The warning is valid until 6:45 p.m. EDT.
A video shared by Peggy Leftwich, a local, showed water gushing through the Campbells Creek area in Campbell County, Kentucky.
The Cincinnati Open tennis tournament currently ongoing in the city has been affected as a result of the weather conditions.
