Notably, the “warm” meeting between Elon Musk and Trump at the State Park came amidst Trump's decision to impose a one-time fee of $100,000 on H-1B visas recently. After the funeral, the White House also posted a photo of Trump and Musk together at the funeral. The caption of the photo read: “POTUS x @ElonMusk For Charlie.”
Trump and Musk’s possible reconciliation could be a major political turn after their clash over the president’s Big Beautiful Bill spending plan. The White House downplayed Musk’s criticism, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt calling it an “unfortunate episode.”
