"We, the executives of BHEL, have decided to put an extra six hours of work today in all the major manufacturing units to protest against the injustice being done to us," Federation of BHEL Executives President K S N Raju said in a press statement.

"Our demands are eminently reasonable for pay revision. The bureaucracy has been misleading all by claiming that packages offered is much superior to the central government pay. We refute this claim," he said.

The federation wants government to implement the Justice J M Rao Committee recommendation.

"Instead of improving upon the recommendations and removing the anomalies, bureaucracy had downgraded it vastly which is totally unacceptable," Raju added.
