Curator Erum Khan, a Delhi-based artist, says, “There will be artworks, sculptures, photography, installations, calligraphy, ceramics and other forms of art that illustrate the essence of the Capital. From monuments to culture to the old buildings, everything will be represented.”

A sculpture by Afshan Raza reflects women empowerment.

Participating artist Jyoti Singh shares that her painting shows how the city lives beside the Yamuna. “I have shown the beautiful surroundings,” says the 42-year-old self-taught artist.

Another artist, Afshan Raza Khan, 26, is showcasing women empowerment through sculptures. “I’ve been working with the scraped parts of automobiles for more than seven years and I believe that nothing is useless. One of the sculptures shows a woman. She looks complete with her body but has no face. It shows that she is complete in herself but is not heard.”
