Once an actor always an actor! Zoa Morani has wanted to be an actor for as long as she can remember. The actor recently performed in the city as part of the play ’Do Deewane Sheher mein, a romantic comedy directed by Kalyani Hiwale.
Talking about her first performance in the city, Zoa says, “I have been to Gurgaon couple of times before. It was the first time I performed at the Epicentre, which has a beautiful auditorium. I started theatre only last year. To see the audience burst into laughter is an overwhelming feeling. It feels as if our hard work has paid off. I am really enjoying the comic aspect of plays. I didn’t get a chance to explore the city this time, because of our busy schedule, but I would love to do it in the future.”

Having starred in films such as Bhaag Johnny (2015) and Always Kabhi Kabhi(2011), Zoa has been active on stage with plays such as Arey Oh Henry, Taj Mahal Ka Udghatan, Panchatantra ki paanch kahaaniya, in the past year. While the medium might be helping her grow as an actor, Zoa believes that acting in films is her true calling. She says,“For me, theatre happened quite randomly. I have really started enjoying theatre. It’s very different from films. In this case, you are performing for a live audience, and this helps me grow as an actor.”
