Bollywood superstar Salman Khan might not have expected who would come to his support in the latest controversy on his appointment as the goodwill ambassador of India’s contingent to the upcoming Rio Olympics. His ex-girlfriend and actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has backed Khan saying that he should be ‘recognised’.

Salman’s selection had stirred up a controversy as many feel that it should have gone to a sports icon even as some sports personalities, actors and politicians support Indian Olympics Association’s decision to appoint the popular movie star. Earlier, his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif had also supported Salman while saying it is nothing new for the actor to be embroiled in controversies.
