ADHM Vs Shivaay: Ranbir-Anushka starrer is the winner, says weekend BO report

Despite the controversy that almost threatened to stop the release of his film, Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has made over Rs 35 crore over the weekend. Shivaay, on the other hand, earned Rs 28.56 crore in three days after the release on October 28.

Despite the controversy that threatened to stop the release of his film, Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has made Rs 35 crore over the weekend. Ajay Devgn’s second directorial venture Shivaay, on the other hand lagged behind with Rs 28.56 crore weekend collection.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Monday that the film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, made Rs 13.3 crore on Friday, another Rs 13.3 crore on Saturday, but saw a dip in its Sunday (Diwali) collection, making only Rs 9.2 crore. Despite the dip, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s weekend collection is highest ever for any Ranbir or Karan movie.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil also had a good run in the international markets as well, minting $6.15 million (Rs 41.05 crore).

Taran Adarsh expects Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to do better business on Monday and Tuesday after the dip it saw on Sunday.
