Shiney Ahuja wants his films Har Pall and Ek Acident to release soon, but the actor says he does not want to put undue pressure on the makers. “I hope the films release soon. It’s been a while.” Has he spoken to the film’s director Jahnu Baruah about it? I haven’t got a chance, but next time I will..it’s just that he is pretty clueless himself because beyond a point, its up to the producer. We all are keen about the film’s release… me, Preity (Zinta), all of us. Ek Accident should follow. I think they are also waiting for Har Pal to release,” says the actor.

Explaining why he hasn’t yet questioned the producers, he says, “I just feel beyond a point there’s no point. They would be feeling it more than me because they have made investments. Lets’ hope they do something,” he says, adding that “life is very good”. “I am reading some scripts. My criteria for a film are good stories and characters. There have been some concrete offers but I’ll talk about it when the time is right. Money is not a criteria for me. I think one should do a good job and money will follow. For me, the decision has always been based on the creative,” says the actor who was in town for the launch of Delhi International film Festival.

The actor is currently out on bail on charges of raping his maid in 2009. So, how comfortable is he with public outings now? “I was always comfortable. I don’t feel like going everywhere..it has to be something special..like this was a festival in Delhi, so I came.”

However, the actor says that he hasn’t started socialising with the fraternity yet. “Probably later,” he says. While the actor says he misses his home town Delhi and the lovely weather here these days he stays in Mumbai because of his four-and-a-half-year-old daughter Arshua who goes to school there. “I drop her to school, pick her up. She’s enrolled in a lot of classes...dance, drama, skating, she is busier than all of us.”
