Most Bollywood celebrities are accompanied by members of their team and bodyguards to media events and awards functions. Recently, Deepika Padukone’s bodyguard, Jalal, was in the news because the actor tied him a rakhi on Raksha Bandhan this year. Deepika posted a Boomerang video on her Instagram account. In it, she was seen tying the rakhi to Jalal. She captioned the video, “#raksha#rakshabandhan #thankyoujalal (sic).”

A source reveals that due to the post, Jalal became popular overnight.

“Ever since Deepika posted the video on Instagram, many of his friends and relatives have been calling him. They keep asking him for details about the incident,” says the source.

The actor’s spokesperson confirmed the news, and said, “Jalal has been working with Deepika for a while now. He was touched and moved by her gesture.”
