Actor Arbaaz Khan recently turned director with his home production, Dabangg 2. The actor, producer and now director says he is not over-calculating his moves, but rather going with the flow. The 45-year-old, who made his debut as a producer with the 2010 blockbuster Dabangg, says he was initially anxious about his decision. “There is always a certain amount of anxiety that comes with every job. It was a little anxious when I turned actor 15 years back with Daraar. It was also there when I opened my production house for Dabangg. It was but natural to be curious about how things would look like when I start calling the shots. I always knew that sooner or later, I would turn director. I couldn’t have been relegated to being producer for the rest of my life,” says Arbaaz.

“There was a major reason behind my desire of calling the shots. As an actor, I discovered that I was fascinated more with what went behind the scenes than in front of it. I found it to be more creative. Sometimes I felt restricted as I was not really in control over the roles that I wanted to do. There was some progress when I started production because I found a little more control coming my way,” he says. Salman Khan-Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dabangg 2 will release on Dec 21.
