Irrfan Khan is the reason for Inferno’s early release in India

Irrfan Khan’s Hollywood film Inferno’s makers have decided to release the movie first in India to cash in on the actor’s popularity.

Irrfan Khan is not only popular in India, but also in the west. He has international films such as Jurassic World (2015) and The Namesake (2006) to his credit. Now, he will be seen alongside Tom Hanks in Inferno. A few months back, there were reports that the film would release in India two weeks prior to its US release date. According to a source, Irrfan is the reason for this decision.

Irrfan Khan will be seen opposite Tom Hanks in upcoming film, Inferno.

A source says, “Irrfan’s fan following in the country prompted the film’s producers to take this call. They realised that there is a lot of curiosity among fans regarding Tom and Irrfan’s pairing. Hence, to cash in on the actor’s popularity on his home turf, the producers decided to promote this film in India.”

When contacted, Irrfan says, “It was a great experience working with Tom and the entire team. I am glad that it is releasing in my home country earlier than its global release.”
