Kajol on Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana being hounded: Our kids didn’t sign up for this

Kajol said in a recent interview that she’d be infuriated if the media bullied her children like they bullied Suhana Khan.

A few days ago, a video of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana being hounded by paparazzi met with a lot of criticism. Kajol has reacted to the video and said that if something like this were to happen to her kids Nysa and Yug, she’s be infuriated.

The actor said in an interview to Mid-Day that the way Suhana was treated was no less than bullying. “If something like this were to happen with Nysa or Yug, I’d be infuriated. It’s sad that the Indian paparazzi has reached a stage where it can do this to a kid. What happened with her sounds like bullying to me. We are stars; it’s our job to accept all of that. But to be doing that to someone who is nothing more than an impressionable teenager, is harassing her in plain words. They should be more responsible when it comes to dealing with our kids. We signed up for this, they didn’t,” she said.

Kajol has a 14-year-old daughter Nysa and seven-year-old son Yug with actor husband Ajay Devgn.

“We can only protect our kids to a certain extent. I hope I have brought up my kids well enough to handle that pressure. They are born to stars and that is something they can’t change. At the same time, I don’t see the need to expose them unnecessarily,” she said in the interview.

When Shah Rukh Khan was asked to comment on the same, he had said, “Going out publicly doesn’t mean you have to become actors. I request people that children won’t be able to handle the media just because they go out publicly. They have to finish graduation.”

Kajol will next be seen with Dhanush in VIP 2.
