Karan Johar unveils first poster of Swara Bhaskar’s Anaarkali of Aarah

Directed by Avinash Das, it is the story of a singer played by Swara, who hails from Arrah in Bihar and is popular for her songs. This is Avinash’s directorial debut. Swara plays the titular role in the film.

Filmmakker Karan Johar revealed the colourful posters of Swara Bhaskar’s next, Anaarkali of Aarah, on Monday.

Directed by Avinash Das, it is the story of a singer played by Swara, who hails from Aarah in Bihar and is popular for her songs. This is Avinash’s directorial debut.

Shimmering in a multi-colour lehenga with heavy jewelry and a long braided ponytail, Swara is looking every bit a star performer in the poster.

“India is a treasure cover of stories and circumstances. Its always a pleasure to watch and experience a heartland story that engages and entertains in equal measure. Anaarkali of Aarah is one such story,” Karan said of the film in a statement.

“I am glad to have been asked to release the first poster of this new and incredible cinema experience,” he added.

Earlier, Sonam Kapoor had shared the first look of the film on Twitter. The teaser of the movie has also been released.

Anarkali of Arrah also features Pankaj Tripatji and Sanjay Mishra in important roles.
