If you’ve seen actor Anushka Sharma’s rushes from the song, Channa Mereya, from the upcoming film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, you would’ve noticed her rose gold and red heavily-embroidered lehenga. The actor posted a video clip from the song, and captioned it: “Wearing a 17kg lehenga was indeed Mushkil!!! (sic).
Commenting on the post, designer Manish Malhotra, who designed the lehenga, wrote: “You looked beautiful and made a stunning bride my dear.” He added: “And thanks for not even tagging me or mentioning my name considering the passion, love and hard work we put in the outfit.”
The Insta-comments left social media followers asking if the two were having an online spat. When we spoke to Manish, he laughed off the incident. “People can’t understand the fun that is there in this post. Between work and travel, I didn’t know this Instagram thing had become such a big deal. When I saw, I was like ‘What! It was just a joke!’ People can’t comprehend the tone online but they must understand that Anushka and I are good friends,” he said.
