Rahul Bhat is remembered for playing the character of Sameer in the show, Heena (1998-2003), where he starred with Simone Singh. While the actor has been admired for his role in director Anurag Kashyap’s Ugly, he now wants to focus only on films and has been turning down TV offers.
"I was approached for a 26-episode series, but I can’t name it. I did not accept the offer as I want to focus on films. I don’t have time for TV because I need to finish shooting for the two movies I am currently part of," says Rahul, who is working on films directed by Abhishek Kapoor and Sudhir Mishra.
When asked if he will be interested in taking up a TV show after wrapping up the films, Rahul says, "I have signed another film and work on that will start once I complete my current commitments. I got many TV offers after my recent release, but I couldn’t take them up. I might do TV sometime later, but there’s nothing on the cards currently."
