Lead or no lead – actor Kalki Koechlin has managed to make her presence felt in Bollywood with her acting potential. And the actor says having done it so far, she doesn’t have any apprehensions about getting sidelined in the upcoming film, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, which also stars real life exes, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.
“I really don’t think about these things. This is an ensemble cast like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara or Shaitan, where I was not playing the main heroine. I’ve never been interested in playing the main heroine,” said the 29-year-old.
“I just want a meaty, exciting role, and in Yeh Jawani hai Deewani, I have a very fun, exciting role — something that I haven’t done before,” added the actor, who was recently in the Capital for Star & Style, the fashion property of Myntra.com.

Kalki also clears that the film is not a love triangle. “We’re friends in the film. There is no love triangle. Nobody steps on anyone’s foot. It’s a happy, romantic, friendship film,” said the actor. About her character, she said, “I play a loud, desi girl. She is tomboyish and speaks her mind.”
