Phamous trailer is all about guns and power struggle. Watch video
Phamous is directed by Karan Lalit Bhutani, and it has a terrific star-cast. Here’s the first trailer.
The trailer for director Karan Lalit Bhutani’s Phamous has been released, and the first thing we notice is the stellar cast. The film features the likes of Kay Kay Menon, Jimmy Shergill and Pankaj Tripathi in important roles, and revolves around a power-struggle in the Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh.
The 137-second trailer narrates the story of the three lead characters who finally resort to violence and find that their place in the world is under the barrel of the gun. While Kay Kay Menon plays a local gangster in the film, Pankaj Tripathi will be seen as a corrupt politician. Jimmy Shergill will essay a hot-headed, disillusioned man living under trying circumstances.

The film also features Mahie Gill. The characters keep talking about the importance of guns in their lives while firing bullets at every possible opportunity.
It seems like the makers have used actual locations to shoot the film because the set-up seems authentic. The accents of the actors might not be spot on, but they try to cover it up with high emotional quotient.
Phamous’s premise isn’t a new one, but the actors make it look promising, especially recent National Award winner Pankaj Tripathi, who is getting better with every film.
Scheduled to release on June 1, 2018, Phamous will clash with Sonam Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding at the box office.
