Sanjay Leela Bhansali starts shooting for Padmavati

Bhansali’s favourite Ranveer Singh is essaying the role of Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan, who falls in love with Padmavati.

The shooting for filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhasali’Padmavati has started.

Ranveer and Deepika will be seen in lead roles in Padmavati.

The period drama stars Deepika Padukone in the lead role of Rajput queen Padmavati and features Shahid Kapoor as Raja Ratan Singh.

Bhansali’s favourite Ranveer Singh is essaying the role of Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan, who falls in love with Padmavati.

While Ranveer and Deepika have worked with Bhansali before in Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani, it is the first time that Shahid will be directed by the filmmaker.
