Sooraj Barjatya is ready to take a backseat from direction for the time being. His banner Rajshri is producing a couple of films, all being directed by newcomers. While one of the films, Love You Mr Kalakar (starring Amrita Rao and Tusshar Kapoor), has S Manasvi, a debutant director from FTII, Isi Life Mein has an all-new cast and Barjatya’s niece Vidhi Kasliwal is making her directorial debut. "Vidhi’s contemporary perspective will take the Rajshri banner forward. The banner has, in the past, given the industry many new faces including Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher, Rakhee among others. This year we are introducing Akshay Oberoi (Vivek Oberoi’s cousin) and Sandeepa Dhar," says Barjatya.
Directed by Kasliwal, who assisted on Vivaah and Ek Vivaah Aisa Bhi, Isi Life Mein is a youth centric film and is about achieving one’s dreams. "It’s amazing how youngsters would do anything for their friends, the belief they harbour in themselves and do everything to achieve their dreams," Barjatya adds.
Although Kasliwal had the choice to work with established actors, she didn’t opt for them. “The script demanded fresh faces. Oberoi is not a regular hero. He has the anger and vulnerability required for this character,” says Kasliwal. The film is about two people, a girl from a conservative family in Ajmer and a guy from Mumbai. “It talks about how the boy manages to choose his passion over his family business and how he helps the girl realise her dreams,” says Kasliwal.

{{/usCountry}}Unperturbed about her film releasing on the same day as Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan on December 24, the debutante director says, “Farah is a good director and her film will be entertaining, but it’s a long weekend and the audience will have time to see my film too.”
