The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”

While Sonam has never shied away from making social media posts that include Anand, he is not much of a public figure yet. Here’s taking a closer look at Sonam’s soon-to-be husband, Anand.

It’s confirmed! Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja getting married on May 8

Anand Ahuja is a Delhi-based businessman and the CEO and co-founder of Bhane, an apparel manufacturing company. He also owns Veg Non-veg, a multi-brand sneaker boutique in Delhi. Anand is also the managing director at Shahi Exports which reportedly has an annual turnover of ₹3,000 crore.

Anand studied at American Embassy School and later completed his post-graduation from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He interned at Amazon.com in America before moving back to Delhi and joining his dad, Harish Ahuja, in his business ventures.

While there is no official word on the pre-wedding ceremonies, it is rumoured that celebrations begin on May 5, Saturday and will consist of mehendi and sangeet, apart from the wedding rituals.
