HDFC Mutual Fund has acquired three lakh shares of VIP Industries Ltd, amounting to 1.95 per cent of the paid-up share capital of the travel luggage-maker and increasing its stake to 6.51 per cent in the company.

After the acquisition, which was conducted under the HDFC Capital Builder Fund on Monday, the shareholding of HDFC MF increases to 10 lakh shares, HDFC Asset Management Company informed National Stock Exchange (NSE) in Mumbai on Tuesday.
