Maruti Suzuki has started testing the 2026 Brezza facelift on the Indian roads before it launches officially in the Indian market next year. The sub-4 metre compact SUV was spotted this time on the Manali highway. Manufacturers often test out their vehicles in different terrains to ensure they can perform in all kinds of conditions when they are launched. This might be one of the reasons why Maruti Suzuki was testing the Brezza facelift in high altitudes.

Having said that, we can expect the Brezza facelift to come with the new digital instrument cluster and steering wheel that the Victoris gets. Apart from this, there can also be a new touchscreen infotainment system borrowed, once again borrowed from the Victoris. A few other features that we hope Maruti Suzuki adds to the Brezza are Level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof and a powered driver seat.

What could be the mechanical changes to the 2026 Brezza facelift?

The post on Instagram also confirmed that the Brezza that was spotted was petrol-powered and not the CNG one. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine produces 100 PS at 6,000 rpm and 137 Nm at 4,300 rpm. It also comes with a CNG powertrain on which the power and torque output fall to 87 PS at 5,500 rpm and 121 Nm at 4,200 rpm.

As standard, the Brezza comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox with the CNG as well as petrol powertrain. However, there is also a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission available with the petrol engine.

At present, the CNG powertrain is equipped with a single CNG cylinder located in the boot, which reduces the available boot space. However, with the upcoming update, there is a potential for Maruti Suzuki to introduce dual-cylinder technology or an underbody cylinder, which could enhance the boot space.
