Mahindra & Mahindra announced on Tuesday the commencement of bookings for the XEV 9S and the XUV 7XO, both of which received a strong initial response from customers. The company informed that it recorded 93,689 consolidated bookings across both models as of 2 PM on January 14, 2026.

The carmaker said that this number equated to a total booking value of over ₹20,500 crore (calculated at ex-showroom). The demand goes to show Mahindra’s growing influence in India’s SUV market. With the launch of the XEV 9S and the XUV 7XO, the automaker is targeting buyers with distinct needs, from family-focused electric mobility to feature-rich ICE SUVs.
Deliveries to roll out in phases

Mahindra said deliveries will be carried out in a phased manner across its dealer network. The XUV 7XO has already begun reaching customers from January 14, while deliveries of the XEV 9S are scheduled to start from the week of January 26, 2026. The phased rollout is expected to help manage demand as bookings continue to build.

Mahindra XUV 7XO
{{/usCountry}}Launched on January 14, the Mahindra XUV 7XO is priced between ₹13.66 lakh and ₹22.47 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), with the special pricing applicable to the first 40,000 customers. The SUV replaces the popular XUV 700 nameplate and arrives as a facelifted and updated version of the model.
While the XUV 7XO carries forward its existing petrol and diesel engine options, Mahindra has refreshed its design and upgraded its feature list. The SUV now gets a sharper exterior look, updated interior technology and enhanced safety systems, aimed at keeping it competitive in the crowded mid-size SUV segment.

Mahindra XEV 9S
On the electric side, the Mahindra XEV 9S expands the company’s premium EV lineup. Officially launched in November 2025, the three-row electric SUV is built on Mahindra’s dedicated INGLO architecture and is positioned above the XEV 9e.
Prices for the XEV 9S start at ₹19.95 lakh and go up to ₹29.45 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant. The model focuses on offering a spacious cabin, modern technology and a premium driving experience, catering to buyers looking to move into electric mobility without compromising on size or comfort.
