Tata leads passenger EV sales in November 2025: See where other brands stood

Tata led India’s EV market in Nov 2025 with 6,153 units sold, while MG, Mahindra and Kia followed.

Tata Motors remained the clear leader in India’s electric vehicle market in November 2025, posting the highest monthly retail sales among all EV manufacturers. The company sold 6,153 electric vehicles during the month, according to data released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). This marked a year-on-year growth of 38.30% compared to the 4,449 units sold in November 2024. On a month-on-month basis, however, sales declined by 15% from the 7,239 EVs retailed in October 2025.

JSW MG Motor India took second place with 3,693 electric vehicles sold in November 2025. The brand registered a 10.34% year-on-year growth over its November 2024 figure of 3,347 units. Compared to October 2025, MG’s sales were down by 18.82%.

Mahindra’s big jump

Mahindra secured third position with 2,966 EVs sold during the month. The strong retail number translated to a year-on-year jump of 408.75%, up from 583 units sold in November 2024. Month-on-month sales declined by 24.16% from the 3,911 units recorded in October 2025.

What’s happening beyond the top three?

In the premium segment, BMW reported 268 EV units sold, maintaining its lead among luxury electric brands. Mercedes-Benz posted sales of 69 electric vehicles, while Tesla’s Indian tally stood at 48 units for the month. Stellantis recorded sales of 30 EVs, and Volvo rounded out the list with 28 units sold in November 2025.
