Mahindra is preparing to launch an updated version of the XUV700 on January 5th in the Indian market. It will be called XUV 7XO, just like the brand renamed the XUV300 to XUV 3XO. The XUV 7XO was now once again spotted with the front-end design having been completely revealed despite being covered with some camouflage.
The video showcases the updated design signature of the LED Daytime Running Lamps. They no longer extend downward. Instead, they form a U-shape much earlier, resembling the Daytime Running Lamp of the Scorpio N. The headlamps are now also fitted with projector headlamps, which should enhance the illumination even further.

Additionally, the fog lamps have been redesigned and repositioned. A new grille appears to be inspired by the XUV500. The bumper is set to receive a fresh design as well. Along the sides, the SUV will debut a new alloy wheel design, while elements such as the flush door handles and roof rails are expected to carry over. At the back, the tail lamps will be revised and are likely to draw inspiration from the recently launched XEV 9S.

{{/usCountry}}The previous images confirm that the XUV 7XO will showcase a redesigned cabin interior. It will now feature a beige and tan brown colour scheme, which will lend a more upscale look. The door pads were obscured with camouflage, but we expect them to receive the same colour treatment. Passengers in the second row will also enjoy a centre armrest that includes cupholders. The XUV 7XO will come equipped with a newly designed two-spoke steering wheel, taking design cues from Mahindra’s Born Electric range of electric vehicles. However, it has slight variations in button placements, as it employs actual physical buttons instead of tactical ones that utilise a single pad. This is beneficial, as I found the steering wheel buttons to be a minor issue during my experience with the XEV 9e and BE 6.
Unlike the XUV700, which comes with a twin-screen layout, the XUV 7XO is expected to push things further with an added display for the front passenger, alongside the central infotainment unit and the fully digital driver’s cluster. It will also offer Boss Mode, enabling rear seat occupants to create extra legroom by electronically sliding the front passenger seat forward from the second row.
