Maintain quality of milk products: DC to shopkeepers

UT deputy commissioner Mohammed Shayin has directed shopkeepers/ owners/ vendors of sweets shops selling milk items, sweets and other related items in the city to maintain good quality standards of milk products, sweets/ khoya etc being sold by them.

UT deputy commissioner Mohammed Shayin has directed shopkeepers/ owners/ vendors of sweets shops selling milk items, sweets and other related items in the city to maintain good quality standards of milk products, sweets/ khoya etc being sold by them.

They have been directed to ensure that the products or items are weighed correctly, the weight of the box be excluded and proper bills be issued to the consumers.

The teams of health department, food and supplies department, as well as the office of UT deputy commissioner will be carrying out surprise checking of all shops regularly and strict action will be taken against the defaulter shopkeeper/ owner/ vendor in case any product is found below quality standards, sold weighing less or without issuing proper bill.
