A 25-year-old man was found dead in a toilet of the Community Police Resource Centre (CPRC), located on the premises of the office of commissioner of police, on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Satvir Singh of Nirankari Mohalla, Millar Ganj. He used to help his father at their workshop.
His father, Ajit Singh, said Satvir left the house for Bharat Nagar Chowk on Thursday, but did not return. Therefore, they filed a missing person’s report at the Division Number 5 police station.
Later, they were informed that he was found dead at CPRC. According to the deceased’s family members, he was depressed for the past few days. “The exact cause of death will be established after autopsy,” said sub-inspector Kuldeep Singh, SHO, Division Number 5 police station.
