A few days after the police claimed to have busted a drug racket with the arrest of 29-year-old Sierre Leone national Penoms Sisse and his 20-year-old Indian partner Amandeep Kaur, details of their activities continue to emerge.
The police have now found evidence to suggest that the duo was covertly conducting their operations under the guise of promoting Christianity.
How they conducted the racket According to the police, Kaur was responsible for introducing young men to Sisse. The two are believed to have met a over a year ago in Ambala.
Kaur had allegedly found the drug business lucrative. While Kaur claims that she was married to Sisse, the police are yet to find evidence to support it.
A local court had, on Tuesday, remanded Sisse to four days of police custody, while Kaur has been remanded to eight days of custody.
The police claim to have recovered 400 gm of heroin from Kaur so far.
