    ‘They should know the responsibility’: DK Shivakumar on BJP protest

    On BJP protest, Karnataka Deputy CM D K Shivakumar said, "We don't want to stop anyone from protesting but at the same time they should know the responsibility. They have to bring pressure on the national BJP government to permit us to start working on Mekedatu and notification for the Krishna. All this instead of doing responsible work. They are just trying to create politics. If rain is there, let us all pray for rain. But at any cost, we need to protect the interests of our farmers."

    Former PM Deve Gowda backs out of G20 dinner, cites health reasons

    Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda said he would not be able to attend the G20 dinner hosted by President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday due to health reasons.

    The JDS supremo on Friday took to social media site X to state, “I will not be attending the G20 dinner organised by the Hon. President of India Draupadi Murmuji, on 09 September 2023, due to health reasons. I have already communicated this to the government. I wish the G20 summit a grand success.”

    Heavy congestion as devotees flock to ISKCON temple

    The Bengaluru traffic police issued an advisory, stating that there is heavy congestion around the ISKCON temple near the West of Chord Road due to a huge influx of devotees amidst heavy rain. “Road users are requested to avoid Tumkur Road (between circle Maramma temple and MEI signal) and Sir CV Raman Road (from Mekri Circle towards IISc). Diversions have been made. Please use alternate roads,” traffic cops posted on social media.
