Right wing groups call for a ‘halal free Ugadi’ in Bengaluru

The right-wing fringe group - Hindu Jana Jagruti Samiti – along with other similar organizations have called for a ‘halal free Ugadi’ and conducted a rally at Bengaluru’s Mysore bank circle. The members of the group have even submitted a memorandum to Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai through the district collector to ban the halal certificates of vendors.

Mohan Gowda, the spokesperson of the right-wing group tweeted, “Hindu Janajagruti Samiti & other Pro Hindu Organisations conducted Halal Free Yugadi Campaign in Mysore bank circle, Bengaluru. Boycott halal products pamphlets are being distributed; a memorandum is submitted to the Chief minister through Bengaluru DC to ban halal certificates.” The organization also appealed to people not to buy halal meat and work towards the ‘halal free India.’
