The Punjab government on Tuesday assigned additional charge of secretary, youth and sports services, to 2004-batch IAS officer Varun Roojam, who already holds the charge as secretary, transport.

Sakshi Sawhney, a 2014-batch IAS officer, who is secretary, health and family planning and also holds charge as mission director, national health mission, Punjab, and nodal officer, anti-drug campaign, has been given additional charge as director, sports and youth services, against a vacant post.

Sandeep Rishi, a 2015-batch officer, has been appointed chief administrator, Greater Mohali Development Authority (GMADA), and commissioner, municipal corporation, Jalandhar, replacing Nikas Kumar, a 2020-batch officer. Kumar has been posted as additional secretary, general administration and coordination.
