Ludhiana: A 50-year-old home guard was killed after he accidentally discharged his weapon while cleaning it at Hambran Chowki on Wednesday

Ludhiana: A 50-year-old home guard was killed after he accidentally discharged his weapon while cleaning it at Hambran Chowki on Wednesday.

The victim, Gurmeet Singh, of Bassian village, accidentally shot himself in the stomach. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Ladhowal station house officer Satwant Singh said the victim had accidentally pulled the trigger. His body was handed over to his family after postmortem.

Gurmeet Singh is survived by his wife and two daughters.
