The accused robbed the cash from the lone employee present in the godown.

After the robbers left the place, the employee Vishal Kumar, 19, raised an alarm. He informed the sarpanch of the area who further called the police.

Vishal said he works as field supervisor in Delivery Limited Company, Guru Nanak Nagar, Dhandra road. They receive all the online orders of different e-commerce websites and further courier companies collect the orders for further delivery.

On Wednesday, at around 10:50pm, when other staffers had left, he was sitting in the office counting the collection when a masked man walked in the office with some query related to the delivery of products. He asked him to come in the morning as it was too late and other staffers had also left.

Assistant sub-inspector Davinder Singh, the investigating officer, said the accused have been captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the office. “We are suspecting the involvement of an employee or former employee in the crime. The company has provided us a list of 70 people who are still working in the godown or had worked in the past,” he said.

The Dugri police have registered a case under Sections 379-B (snatching) and 34 (Act done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code against the unidentified accused.
