Ustad Amjad Ali Khan was conferred Noor-e-Sahir Award, in Ludhiana, for his contribution to the field of arts and culture

Nehru Sidhant Kendra Trust conferred Noor-e-Sahir Award to Sarod Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan for his contribution to the field of arts and culture, at Nehru Sidhant Kendra Trust, on Saturday.

The award was given at a special cultural event.

The musical drama dedicated to Kaviraaj Shailendra titled “ Rahengi Apni Kahaniyan” highlighted some of the most popular songs of the lyricist like “Awara hoon”, “Mera Joota Hae Japani” and the most famous from Raj Kapoor’s movie Mera Naam Joker “Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan”.
