An unidentified man on a motorcycle allegedly snatched a woman’s gold chain while she was riding pillion on her son’s two-wheeler in Sector 20, Panchkula, on Wednesday morning.
The victim, Phuljhadi, a sanitation worker residing in Khadak Mangoli village, said her son was dropping her off to work. When they reached near Group Housing Society-35, an unidentified man on a motorcycle started trailing them. When he got close enough, he suddenly snatched her chain and sped away.

She said it all happened so fast, she had no time to react or jot down the motorcycle’s registration number.
She, however, noted that the accused was wearing a blue chequered shirt.
A case has been Section 304 (snatching) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered.
