After a car dealer alleged that he had been duped of ₹1.5 crore on the pretext of selling a luxury car, the case is being probed again, on the request of the accused.
Claiming that he was being implicated in the case, the accused, Hitesh Abrol, director of Allied Multi Metals and Alloys, filed an application seeking a re-inquiry.
Abrol said the complainant Gurbir Singh had contacted them through a dealer for buying a Lamborghini car and had also transferred ₹1.5 crore to their account. However, later he found that the complainant was trying to dupe him, and thus he cancelled the deal, and refunded the money.
“Subsequently, Gurbir Singh filed a complaint against me, and the Dakha police lodged an FIR against me without investigating the matter,” he alleged.
The Dakha police had booked Hitesh Abrol, Mandeep Singh Chawla of Sarabha Nagar and Dalbir Singh of Delhi, on the complaint of Gurbir Singh of Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, who is a car dealer.
In his statement, Gurbir Singh had said that he had contacted the accused to buy a Lamborghini car in February. The deal was settled at ₹ 2 crore, of which he transferred ₹1.5 crore on February 16.

{{/usCountry}}“When I went to the company’s office to collect the car and pay the remaining money, Abrol appeared to be reluctant, and kept making excuses. Later, I learnt that he had sold the car to Dalbir Singh of Delhi through Mandeep Singh though I had already paid ₹1.5 crore to them,” the complainant had told the police.
