No power cuts anywhere in state on Dussehra: Govt

Following the instructions issued by UPPCL chairman Ashish Kumar Goyel, all DISCOMS ensured 24-hour power supply in their respective areas.

As directed by chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the UP Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) provided electricity to users for 24 hours without any interruptions anywhere in the state on Dussehra, claimed a government spokesman on Wednesday.

“Uninterrupted electricity supply was ensured in all 21 districts of Purvanchal, 19 of Madhyanchal, 21 of Dakshinanchal (including seven of Bundelkhand), 14 districts of Paschimanchal and KESCO,” the spokesman said. (For representation)

“Not a single area in the state reported a power cut on Dussehra,” he claimed. Now, the corporation was preparing to ensure uninterrupted power supply on upcoming festivals, including Diwali, he added.

Following the instructions issued by UPPCL chairman Ashish Kumar Goyel, all DISCOMS ensured 24-hour power supply in their respective areas.

“Uninterrupted electricity supply was ensured in all 21 districts of Purvanchal, 19 of Madhyanchal, 21 of Dakshinanchal (including seven of Bundelkhand), 14 districts of Paschimanchal and KESCO,” the spokesman said.

In these districts, the hours of electricity supply were predetermined. While 18 hours of supply was fixed in rural areas, 21.30 hours for nagar panchayat headquarters and tehsil headquarters, and 24 hours for district headquarters. At the same time, 20 hours of electricity supply was fixed for rural areas of all seven districts of Bundelkhand.
