Pune: The state government’s minority development department on Saturday issued a government resolution announcing the list of 68 students eligible for its overseas education scholarship scheme. The selected students will pursue postgraduate and doctorate programmes at universities in countries, including Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Under the scheme, students are required to secure admission to universities ranked among the top 200 in the QS World University Rankings.
Of the selected students, 65 will pursue postgraduate programmes while three have been selected for doctorate courses.
The postgraduate courses chosen by the students include computer engineering, environmental engineering, information technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics, computer science, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, biomedical engineering, psychology, applied arts, law, commerce, agriculture and agricultural economics.
Selected students must complete their courses within the stipulated period and return to the country as no extension or additional funding will be allowed. Any unauthorised change of university or course will result in recovery of scholarship amount.
